Director/Math Tutor
Anoch Vasan
Hey, I’m Anoch — the face behind BV Academy. I’m a 2024 graduate from The University of Sydney, and over the years, I’ve clocked up more than 8,000 hours of tutoring experience. I’ve worked with students across all ability levels — from D grades to A grades — and I know firsthand what it takes to turn things around.

I sat the newly established HSC Mathematics syllabus myself and scored a High Band 6 in Maths Advanced, so I get the pressure, the pitfalls, and the path to results.

At BV Academy, I’m not just here to teach content. My focus is on coaching better study habits, building consistency, and helping students master the basics — because I believe that’s what leads to long-term results. With a Working With Children Check and years of experience guiding students through their academic journeys, I’m passionate about making maths make sense, no matter where you’re starting from.

If you’re after a tutor who cares about your study habits as much as your exam marks, you’re in the right place.

Director/English Tutor
Ganuja Vasan
Hey, I’m Ganuja, and I’ve managed the other half of BV Academy from the very start. I’ve completed my degree in the medical field, but my real passion has always been education. I completed both Extension and Advanced English for my HSC, and since then, I’ve loved helping students build confidence in their writing, comprehension, and exam skills.

For the past three years, I’ve been running our tutoring academy, and in that time, we’ve seen rapid student growth. That means I’ve worked with kids of all ages, personalities, and academic levels — and I genuinely enjoy the challenge of helping each one unlock their potential.

Whether it’s navigating tricky essay structures or just learning how to stay motivated, I’m all about creating a positive, supportive space where students feel capable and heard. It’s not just about marks — it’s about building skills that stick.

Can’t wait to meet you at BV Academy!

Our Story
At BV Academy, we believe learning should never be one-size-fits-all. Every student thinks, studies, and grows differently — and finding the right method for you is the key to unlocking real results. When learning actually makes sense and feels enjoyable, motivation follows naturally, and the marks soon follow.

Our journey started back in 2020, right in the middle of COVID lockdowns. Like many others, we had to quickly adapt, running all our classes online while juggling the uncertainty of that time. What started as a small tutoring group run over Zoom sessions from our living rooms quickly grew as word spread about the results our students were achieving. Even through the toughest parts of the pandemic, we kept showing up for our students — helping them stay on track, motivated, and connected when school felt distant.

Fast forward to now, and BV Academy has clocked up over 10,000 cumulative hours of tutoring experience across Mathematics and English, working with students from Kindergarten all the way to Year 12. Along the way, we’ve built a reputation for more than just strong marks — we’ve become known for creating a space where students actually enjoy learning, feel supported, and see what they’re capable of.

Our track record speaks for itself. We’ve received consistently positive feedback from students and parents, with noticeable improvements in not just academic results but also study habits, confidence, and resilience. Many of our students have moved from struggling grades to achieving personal bests, and it’s that progress — not just the final mark — that we’re proudest of.

At BV Academy, we don’t just teach content. We coach better study habits, mindset, and confidence. Because when those foundations are strong, the good results naturally follow.

We’ve done the hard yards, learned through every challenge, and we’re here to help you do the same.
